I have been dedicated to professionally helping others most of my adult life and have been drawn to this from the time I was a child. As a result, my path has led me to the exact place where I want to be. My professional career has included working with survivors of domestic violence and advocating for their rights in workplace settings; working in healthcare to support people with HIV/AIDS; working in schools providing counseling to students; working in hospice providing grief counseling; working with adolescents and adults providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); and currently working in private practice with adults and young adults, utilizing a variety of clinical orientations to meet the needs of my clients.
What drives me is an open curiosity about my clients, what brings them to therapy and how I can support them. As a lifelong learner, I love participating in trainings for my own professional development so that I can bring new techniques and modalities to my practice. I enjoy collaborating with my clients toward finding resiliency and growth within themselves through various modalities, depending on their individual needs. What I bring to the process is acceptance, warmth, collaboration, validation, and a non-judgmental stance. I will listen to you, challenge you, learn from you, and most importantly, meet you where you are. I strive to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere so that we can create an open space for growth and change to occur.
